Custom View Binders
Clear overlay covers allow users to change front, back or spine inserts.

Specifications
Supply both document size and insert artwork dimensions; specify which panels need clear overlays.
| Overlay plan | Window panels, openings, seam boundaries and insertion direction. |
|---|---|
| Insert master | Finished print dimensions and stock thickness, separate from cover size. |
| Use check | Clarity and retention after insert replacement and loaded closure. |
| Overlay | Insert positions and usable opening dimensions agreed with the artwork format. |
| Cover | Cover substrate and overlay material selected as a compatible construction. |
| Mechanism | Ring layout and document capacity to buyer specification. |
Reference formats describe the contents, not a guaranteed manufacturing range. Finished dimensions, material grades and tolerances are agreed against your drawing and sample.
Display Covers
A view binder adds clear overlay pockets for replaceable front, back or spine inserts. The overlay is a functional pocket, not just a decorative film. Define openings, insertion direction and usable dimensions. The printed insert needs sliding clearance while staying supported after repeated removal. Specify which panels have overlays rather than assuming a complete set.

Overlay Layout
Seams reduce usable pocket space and may overlap visible artwork. A spine window must follow the cover as it bends. Check clarity, scuffing and distortion using the intended printed stock. A white cover and a dark insert reveal different defects, so an empty sample is not sufficient for print-display approval.

Insert Changes
Fit front, back and spine artwork, close a loaded binder, and replace each insert. Inspect pocket mouths for catching and seams for lifting. If replacement inserts are distributed digitally, document their verified dimensions and orientation so later users can reproduce the fit without measuring the binder again.

Manufacturing & Assembly
Cover preparation and printing are followed by mechanism positioning, fastening, assembly and packing. The approved sample defines the cover and mechanism combination.
Overlay clarity, pocket seams, insert fit, ring closure and finished cover alignment.

Packaging & Protection
Keep transparent overlays flat and free from trapped debris. Use smooth separators to prevent scuffing, and protect the opening used to insert cover artwork.
Record the unit pack, pack quantity, carton dimensions and label positions. Check a packed sample with the intended contents before approving the shipment arrangement.

What to Check
Overlay clarity, pocket seams, insert fit, ring closure and finished cover alignment.
Training packs, presentations and filing programs with changing identification.
Record the reference contents, inspection method and acceptance criteria with the approved sample.
Buyer Question
Can the spine insert use the whole visible spine width?
Welds, folds and opening clearance reduce usable space. Derive the artwork template from a physically approved insert.
