Reference formats describe the contents, not a guaranteed manufacturing range. Finished dimensions, material grades and tolerances are agreed against your drawing and sample.
Lever Mechanism
A lever arch file combines filing posts with a lever that opens and closes the mechanism. The lever needs operating clearance inside the cover, and the paper stack must sit below its closing path. A compressor bar, where specified, restrains loose sheets during storage. Evaluate it as part of the mechanism rather than adding it after approving cover dimensions.

Shelf Storage
A standing file places handling loads on its spine and finger hole. Specify the loaded filing weight and whether users remove the file by that opening. Label holders, spine printing and metal edge protection affect the artwork area. Confirm board build-up and fitting positions on a sample containing a representative document stack.

Functional Inspection
Operate the lever with the file open on a desk, check post alignment, and inspect riveted attachments from both sides. Close and lift the loaded file as intended. Test the compressor separately for retention and access. A sheet-capacity figure is comparable only when paper weight, inserts and the measurement method are defined.

Manufacturing & Assembly
Cover preparation and printing are followed by mechanism positioning, fastening, assembly and packing. The approved sample defines the cover and mechanism combination.
Lever operation, ring alignment, fastening, cover stability and label positioning.

Packaging & Protection
Secure the lever and compressor bar for transport. Arrange files so exposed metal parts cannot mark neighbouring covers or damage the finger-hole trim.
Record the unit pack, pack quantity, carton dimensions and label positions. Check a packed sample with the intended contents before approving the shipment arrangement.

What to Check
Lever operation, ring alignment, fastening, cover stability and label positioning.
Office archives, records management and institutional filing.
Record the reference contents, inspection method and acceptance criteria with the approved sample.
Buyer Question
Does a quoted sheet capacity include dividers?
Do not assume it does. Include actual dividers and sleeves in the capacity sample and record the resulting load in the specification.
