Reference formats describe the contents, not a guaranteed manufacturing range. Finished dimensions, material grades and tolerances are agreed against your drawing and sample.
Polypropylene Sheet
A polypropylene binder uses a converted sheet cover rather than a wrapped board case. Gauge, texture, colour and opacity affect its feel. Translucent sheet reveals the first page beneath it; opaque sheet changes that presentation. Compare actual samples because a nominal colour does not describe stiffness or visibility.
Creases and Fasteners
The blank needs folds that follow the spine without making the cover spring open. Rounded corners and smooth cut edges matter where users grip the binder. Ring mechanisms attach through the sheet, so rivet seating and material around the holes need checking under load. A board specification cannot simply transfer to a flexible PP cover.
Surface Printing
The print process must suit the exact sheet finish. Evaluate adhesion and handling marks on a decorated sample of that grade. For recycled or PCR content, identify the requested claim and supporting evidence for that supply, then recheck appearance. Material content cannot be inferred from sheet colour or from another product.
Manufacturing & Assembly
Cover preparation and printing are followed by mechanism positioning, fastening, assembly and packing. The approved sample defines the cover and mechanism combination.

Packaging & Protection
Protect printed polypropylene surfaces from rubbing against metal mechanisms. Control stacking pressure to keep covers flat without stressing the spine fold.
Record the unit pack, pack quantity, carton dimensions and label positions. Check a packed sample with the intended contents before approving the shipment arrangement.

Can equal-gauge PP sheets feel different?
Yes. Grade, surface and construction affect handling. Approve the specified material in the finished binder instead of choosing solely by thickness.
