Reference formats describe the contents, not a guaranteed manufacturing range. Finished dimensions, material grades and tolerances are agreed against your drawing and sample.
Paper Retention
A PP wallet encloses documents with a flap or closure instead of open pockets. Seams, folds and gussets affect usable internal size. Define stack thickness and insertion direction. A wallet that accepts one sheet may not accept a report with a cover or binding strip, even when both are described by the same paper format.
Closure Access
A press-stud or other closure should avoid pressing directly against vulnerable contents. The flap must reach its closing point when filled. For identification without opening, assess translucent material and a label panel. Judge opaque and printed versions with contents inside rather than from flat sheet samples.
Seam Strength
Check joined edges for continuity and distortion. Insert and remove the largest document to identify corner catching. Exercise the closure with the intended stack. Define moisture requirements separately: a wipe-clean PP surface does not establish that the completed wallet is waterproof. Packing should not permanently crease the flap or joined edges.
Manufacturing & Assembly
Artwork and cutting layouts define the panels, pockets and folds. Printed or converted components are assembled and checked for document fit before packing.

Packaging & Protection
Close flaps without overloading the wallet. Protect snap fasteners from concentrated pressure and keep mixed-colour assortments in the agreed sequence.
Record the unit pack, pack quantity, carton dimensions and label positions. Check a packed sample with the intended contents before approving the shipment arrangement.

Does flat blank size establish storage capacity?
No. Folds, seams and flap construction consume material. Specify internal dimensions and verify them with the intended contents.
