Custom Book Covers
Protective cover formats matched to schoolbook dimensions.

Specifications
Provide the range of book sizes if one cover format is expected to serve multiple books.
| Book | Height, panel width and spine; minimum/maximum for adjustable fits. |
|---|---|
| Retention | Sleeves, flaps, folds, joins and fitting instructions. |
| Appearance | Transparency, identification field, decoration and cover-art visibility. |
| Fit | Book height, width and thickness define the cover dimensions. |
| Retention | Flaps, pockets or other agreed retention features specified with the sample. |
| Surface | Material, transparency and decoration selected for the intended use. |
Reference formats describe the contents, not a guaranteed manufacturing range. Finished dimensions, material grades and tolerances are agreed against your drawing and sample.
Book Dimensions
Measure book height, front-panel width and spine thickness. A flat dimension alone does not describe the path around the spine and flaps. Identify fixed or adjustable sizing and the intended range of books. Use both the thickest and thinnest references in approval rather than testing a single convenient sample.

Cover Retention
Flaps, sleeves and folds should hold the book without pulling it partly closed. On transparent versions, inspect clarity over the printed cover and any identification label. Joined edges should be smooth at handling points. A cover suitable for a rigid textbook may behave differently on a thin flexible exercise book.

Repeated Use
Fit and remove the cover using the intended instructions, then open the book at several points. Check corners and retention areas for distortion. Include size labels and instructions if users fit covers themselves. A protective surface does not establish that the completed construction is waterproof; evaluate any such requirement separately.

Manufacturing & Assembly
Format, ruling, artwork and set contents are approved before converting or binding. Finished goods are checked against the agreed school or retail specification.
Book fit, folds, seams and converted edges.

Packaging & Protection
Keep covers flat with flaps aligned. Prevent clear film surfaces from rubbing and identify formats so the correct cover size can be selected.
Record the unit pack, pack quantity, carton dimensions and label positions. Check a packed sample with the intended contents before approving the shipment arrangement.

What to Check
Book fit, folds, seams and converted edges.
Textbook protection and school stationery assortments.
Record the reference contents, inspection method and acceptance criteria with the approved sample.
Buyer Question
Will one cover fit every A4 book?
No. Book covers and spines differ despite matching page sizes. Define the complete outer envelope and test the intended range.
