Reference formats describe the contents, not a guaranteed manufacturing range. Finished dimensions, material grades and tolerances are agreed against your drawing and sample.
Usable Length
Outside length can overstate usable space because seams, curved ends and zipper stops occupy the interior. Supply the longest pen or pencil and the full bundle shape, including a ruler or sharpener where relevant. Specify whether items lie loose, occupy individual loops or fit in separate compartments. These arrangements need different patterns.

Opening Access
A straight zip, wrap-around opening and roll-style case expose contents differently. Internal divisions need room for fingers as well as stationery. Review outer material, lining and reinforcement together so the case does not collapse or become stiff around its mouth. Position artwork after seam allowances and end panels have been fixed.

Seams and Closures
Load the reference items and operate the zipper near both ends. Check stitching, exposed edges, loose threads and components that can catch pencil points. For school programs, record age group and target-market requirements rather than assuming them from the category. Approve the packing arrangement so flat shipment does not permanently distort the intended case shape.

Manufacturing & Assembly
Cut components and approved decoration are assembled with seams, closures and hardware. Fit and function are checked against the intended contents.
Seams, closure movement, print position and fit of the intended stationery.

Packaging & Protection
Close the zip with the lining clear of the teeth. Support shaped cases where needed, and avoid folds that permanently crease decorated panels.
Record the unit pack, pack quantity, carton dimensions and label positions. Check a packed sample with the intended contents before approving the shipment arrangement.

What to Check
Seams, closure movement, print position and fit of the intended stationery.
School stationery, retail writing sets and branded packs.
Record the reference contents, inspection method and acceptance criteria with the approved sample.
Buyer Question
Can the RFQ use flat fabric dimensions?
A sewn panel loses space to seams and shaping. Give finished internal dimensions and approve a sample with the intended contents.
