Geometry and Orientation
Use the approved construction drawing. Verify front, back, spine, pockets and turned-in panels, including which face is visible after assembly. Confirm the final spine width for the actual page block. Mark folds, holes and hardware areas separately so critical content does not disappear behind a seam or ring mechanism.

Content and Colour
Proofread names, dates, page numbers and languages independently from visual layout. Identify print colours and finishing layers. Link images and fonts according to the agreed handover format. For a dated diary, verify every calendar transition and weekday. For labels, compare barcode data to the correct SKU as well as checking the printed code.

Approval Package
Give the released file a unique revision and clearly identify obsolete versions. Keep the approval proof with the order. A digital proof confirms content; a material or converted sample may be needed for colour, adhesion, folding or tactile effects. State which reference governs each characteristic so an attractive screen preview is not mistaken for physical production approval.
