Saleable Units
State whether the buyer sells one article, a multipack or a coordinated set. List included accessories and inserts. Neutral and buyer-branded packing need separate artwork instructions. The pack must protect the product while presenting the correct contents, so approve the complete packed unit rather than a box design without the goods inside.

Surface Protection
Wrapped corners, exposed wire, clear overlays and printed textiles need different packing arrangements. Nesting saves space but may cause rubbing or distortion. Specify separators, folding and orientation where these affect appearance. Include the packing arrangement in sample approval so the delivered product is not damaged by an otherwise correctly manufactured neighbouring component.

Label Identity
Provide barcode data, human-readable text, size, placement and the SKU or colour each label belongs to. Check both readability and product match. Multiple languages, seasonal versions and similar colours need traceable codes. A correctly printed label can still be wrong for the unit if variant assignment is not controlled during packing.
Carton Plan
Define quantities per inner pack and master carton, mixed-SKU rules, marks and distribution sequence. Carton dimensions and gross weight depend on the final arrangement. Request the confirmed values for logistics planning after packing is established. Changes in assortment or retail packaging should trigger a review of carton identification and shipping information.
