The selected route is recorded against the approved product construction.
Assembly brings covers, hardware, inserts and purchased components together. Define a bill of materials with revision identifiers and quantities before creating a set price. Similar colours or near-identical parts need distinguishable codes. For a stationery kit, every item has its own construction and acceptance criteria; a shared retail box does not remove those individual requirements.

Specify unit protection, component layout, separators, barcode position and carton assortment. Nesting can save space but may mark decorated surfaces or trap closures. Approve the complete packed sample, including any folded bag or compressed insert. Outer carton dimensions and weight follow the final packing arrangement rather than an estimate based only on the product outline.

Compare component counts, artwork versions and labels against the packing list. Scan barcodes using the agreed application and inspect human-readable data separately. A correct barcode on the wrong colour variant remains a packing error. Define checks for mixed cartons, master labels and any customer-specific distribution sequence so shipment release covers the intended assortment.
Ask how assembly instructions reach the line, how rejected components are segregated and how packing changes are approved. Confirm the inspection point before cartons are sealed and the release authority for shipment. In a site review, follow one complete pack through its checks. This provides more useful evidence than photographs of generic cartons or unsupported claims about output volume.

Agree the reference sample and relevant acceptance points before the production run. The finished article is also checked for fit and function after downstream assembly.
