The selected route is recorded against the approved product construction.
Ring mechanisms retain removable punched sheets, while coil, twin-loop wire, sewing and adhesive binding create different book structures. Establish whether the user replaces pages, tears them out or keeps a permanent block. Sheet format, count, thickness and opening angle guide selection. An outside cover size does not establish usable capacity or the correct fastening system.

Ring count and hole centres must match the documents. Continuous coil and twin-loop wire use different elements and end treatments; twin-loop punch pitch must match the wire. Casebound or glued books need a block and cover relationship derived from paper thickness. Specify rivet centres, punched margins and hinge clearances before cover decoration so hardware does not cover important artwork.

Check page order and orientation before binding, then check attachment and movement afterward. Run a thin page over ring joints, examine coil ends, or assess wire closure as appropriate. On bound blocks, inspect first and last leaves, gutter access and trimming. Use the actual contents in the approval sample rather than accepting an empty cover or an unbound stack.
Ask to see the proposed preparation, punching, fastening and final functional checks for your product. Confirm which mechanisms are sourced and which assembly operations occur on site. Component origin and assembly location are different questions. Agree how incoming hardware is inspected and how a mechanism substitution is approved before it reaches the line.
Sheet size, page count or paper load, hole pattern, cover construction and binding reference.
Send a drawing or reference sample alongside quantity and delivery requirements. Material compatibility, applicable finishes and any subcontracted operations are confirmed during quotation.
Page sequence, ring alignment, closure, fastening and cover-to-block alignment.
Agree the reference sample and relevant acceptance points before the production run. The finished article is also checked for fit and function after downstream assembly.
